A Commando's primary duty is to make use of strong non-elemental attacks to deal massive damage
Skills
Attack: The basic physical assault move of the Commando.
Blindside: Almost doubles the damage dealt by normal attacks when the Commando is not being targeted. Character darts around behind the enemy, like a back-attack.
Launch: Used automatically against a staggered enemy to throw them into the air.
Ruin: Inflicts non-elemental magic damage on a single target.
Ruinga: Same effects as Ruin, but acts as a more powerful area-effect upgrade.
Blitz: Inflicts physical damage on all adversaries in range of the target.

Meteor Javelin: A powerful physical attack, involving an airborne Noel throwing four spears at the target.
Ravagers have access to a wide variety of elemental spells and physical attacks. Ravagers can also deal appreciable damage when striking elemental weaknesses.
Skills
Aero: Deals Wind damage to target and temporarily stuns it.
Aerora: Deals Wind damage to enemies in range of the target, tossing them up into the air, and drawing them in.
Aeroga: Deals Wind damage to targets within a wide radius, drawing them up into a tornado.
Galestrike: Physically attacks a target with a blow infused with the Wind element.
Blizzard: Deals Ice damage to target.
Blizzara: Deals Ice damage to enemies in range of the target.
Blizzaga: Deals Ice damage to targets within a wide radius.
Froststrike: Physically attacks a target with a blow infused with the Ice element.
Fire: Deals Fire damage to target.
Flamestrike: Physically attacks a target with a blow infused with the Fire element.
Thunder: Deals Lightning damage to target.
Sparkstrike: Physically attacks a target with a blow infused with the Lightning element.
Sentinels act as "tanks", drawing the attention of enemies and withstanding attacks that might disable party members in other roles. Their -guard abilities enable them to increase their (already high) resistance to damage.
Skills
Provoke: Temporarily attracts the attention of all enemies in range.
Mediguard: Reduces incoming damage by 20% while gradually recovering HP.
Entrench: Counterattack after defending, dealing damage determined by how long the Sentinel maintained the defensive stance.
Element Guard: Reduces damage by 20%, and increases resistance to elemental damage by 33% for all allies.
A Medic focuses on healing duties, which include restoring the HP of party members, reviving fallen allies, and removing status ailments.
Skills
Cure: Restores the target's HP, dependent upon the caster's magic stat. Heals most minor injuries, cannot cure mortal wounds.
Cura: Restores HP to all targets in range. Heals most minor injuries, cannot cure mortal wounds.
Curasa: Restores the target's HP depending upon their damage, more damage meaning more healing. Heals most injuries, cannot cure mortal wounds.
Curaja: Same as Curasa, but on all allied targets in range.
Esuna: Removes the target's most recently inflicted status ailment. Ailments such as blind, poison, paralysis, stone, silence, etc.
Raise: Revives an ally from KO, health restoration is relatively low. Cannot cure actual death, target will require proper healing of remaining injuries using cure spells or other medical treatment.
The Synergist empowers your characters with magic that enhances the party's effectiveness. These spells can provide improvements to damage output, defense, and resistance to action interruptions and status ailments. Some special abilities can protect your party against strong elemental attacks, or imbue non-elemental attacks (such as physical blows dealt by a Commando) with elemental power, enabling allies to exploit weaknesses to devastating effect.
Skills
Shell: Raises the target's resistance to magic attacks by 25%.
Shellga: Raises the resistance to magic attacks for all allies by 25%.
Protect: Raises the target's resistance to physical attacks by 25%.
Protectga: Raises the resistance to physical attacks for all allies by 25%.
Veil: Raises the target's status ailment resistance by 50%.
Veilga: Raises the resistance to status ailments for all allies by 50%.
Vigilance: Decreases a target's odds of being interrupted, and reduces Wound damage sustained. Wound damage is similar to bleeding.
Vigilaga: Decreases the odds of being interrupted, and reduces Wound damage taken for all allies.
Saboteurs work to weaken your opponent by inflicting status ailments, or "debuffs". They can also remove status enhancements, either by using the Dispel ability or casting the opposing status ailment. For example, casting Deprotect can negate an active Protect status on an enemy.

Deprotect: Reduces a target's physical resistance by 30% and deals non-elemental magic damage.
Wound: Deals Wound damage to a target, reducing it's maximum HP. Imagine weakening due to bleeding.
Poison: Poisons target and deals non-elemental magic damage.
Dispel: Removes a target's most recent status enhancement and deals non-elemental magic damage.
Imperil: Reduces a target's elemental resistance and deals non-elemental magic damage.
